For nuns, the abbess is mother and teacher. It is the duty of the abbess to lead the prayer, assign tasks and grant exceptions to the rule.
The more vulnerable, more human side, which escapes from the charges and responsibilities of this role that sees her protagonist in a deep sleep. A sleep which, if on the one hand reminds her of her nature, stripping her of any recognition or power, on the other hand brings her closer to a mysterious reality, perhaps more than anything else close to life.
